The transit time for a move to Ireland is approximately 2 to 4 days, depending on your requirements. We usually load up the move one week and deliver it to its destination the following week.

Schmidt Global Relocations will gladly take care of your entire move. Our removal service includes dismantling and reassembling your furniture, taking apart your cabinets and other furniture and expertly putting them back together for you. We also pack all your belongings professionally and with care. Or you could pack everything yourself, if you prefer. All you have to do is make sure everything is packed and ready. The removal team will then load everything into the truck and unload it at its destination in Ireland. Just give us instructions for where you want everything to go and we’ll make sure it’s there!
Things to remember
There are a number of things to consider when moving to Ireland. For example, fresh, unprocessed food, plants and trees, meat and animal products, narcotics and firearms are strictly forbidden.
When moving to Ireland, there are a number of documents that are mandatory, including:
- A copy of your passport
- Packing list
- Transition of residency 1 (TEM 1) – PPS declaration document
- Express release/Air Waybill (AWB)
- Evidence of residence abroad for at least 12 months
- Two original copies of energy bills (electricity bill and a bank statement will suffice), no older than 12 months
- Proof of place of residence in Ireland (2 forms)
- Copy of property lease, rental agreement or purchase contract in Ireland
- Work permit/employment contract
